Section 04
VR headsets and technology
What the specifications mean for real users: lens spacing, glasses, input without controllers, audio and comfort.
How we compare
We start from user needs, then read the specifications against them. We record where each figure comes from and when we checked it. We do not claim a headset treats anything. Evidence about uses is on the research pages.
What matters most
- Fit: lens spacing, glasses, strap and weight distribution.
- Input: controllers, hand tracking, voice.
- Comfort: heat, pressure, session length, motion settings.
- Handling: charging, cleaning, transport.
