### Headset features vs app support

The ratings describe the headset. For these needs, each app or game also has to support you:

- **Seated play.** Each app sets its own play modes (seated, standing or roomscale). Check the app’s store listing before you buy it.
- **Input without handheld controllers.** Each app decides whether it supports hand tracking or voice. Some apps still need controllers.
- **Visual adjustment and vision features.** Lens spacing and system vision features are headset-level. Text size, captions and contrast inside an app are up to that app.

**About these results.** They compare published specifications. They can't tell you whether a headset suits a particular person, body or condition. Try before you buy where you can, and if VR is part of therapy, involve the treating clinician or OT.

Sources and method

Each value comes from the maker's own pages where possible, otherwise from a named secondary source. Prices change: they were last checked 29 October 2026 and are the most recent Australian price we could find from a named source. Ranking counts how many of your choices each headset meets per its sources (a partial match counts half). "Not stated" never counts as a match.
